The sole purpose of PIN is to collect the Fee for the elective course while doing the registration.
The student has to pay the fee which is configured in the settings for getting the PIN number in order to register for the course. (If the registration is free, this facility may not be used).
A PIN number is a unique fourteen digit number that can be generated and issued to applicants for online course registration using the Applicant registration module.
To configure the pin-based Applicant registration the Admin or the privileged user has to follow the below steps:
Configure the courses batch setup for the new academic session for which Institute needs to start the Admission process.
The elective subjects need to be created inside the batches and the Amount for electing those subjects needs to be specified by the Admin user for which student wants to apply for the Admission.
Configure the Magic Pins in the registration module settings.
Manage Pins option provides an Admin user to create a unique PIN number that can be issued to the students for the registration. Each student will be given a unique code with which he can register for a course online.
Configure the Registration course settings as specific course wise in the Registration module settings option.
The specific course wise setup is needed to be configured for using the PIN-based registration.
