An exam category is an exam conducted to assess (EA and IA) a student’s performance on the curriculum that is being taught in a particular study term. Institutions following the ICSE grading system usually have two study terms.
At the top of your dashboard, click the module access icon > Academics > Examination > Settings > ICSE Settings > ICSE Exam Categories to open the Exam Categories page.

In the top right, click the New button.

In the Name field, enter the name of the exam category.

In the Description field, enter a description about the exam category.

In the Detailed Student Report field, select Yes if you want to generate a detailed examination report (IA, EA, and total results will be displayed), or select No if you want only the total results to be displayed in the examination report.

Click the Create button.
To edit an exam category, click Edit.
To delete an exam category, click Delete.
